"Sports have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember—especially soccer. After spending most of my youth playing at a competitive level, I set my sights on college athletics. By the end of my sophomore year of high school, at just 15, I verbally committed to play soccer at the University of West Georgia. But what should’ve been the most exciting chapter of my journey quickly turned into a challenging one. My final two club seasons were marked by difficulties with coaches, teammates, and team dynamics. After a long and exhausting mental battle, I made the incredibly difficult decision to de-commit and step away from the game. At that point, continuing my playing career no longer felt like a passion—it had become a burden, and I knew I owed it to myself to walk away.

Suddenly, I was a NARP—“non-athletic regular person”—navigating the college process with no recruiting visits or athletic scholarship conversations. I chose Georgia College & State University (GCSU) based on academics, and in the fall of 2021, it became my home away from home. I found a vibrant social life, a major I cared about, and even a job working in the athletic department. Covering sporting events let me stay connected to the world I loved—just from the sidelines.

But after just half a season of taking stats at GCSU’s soccer games, I felt something shift. Watching from the sidelines made it clear: I wasn’t done playing. Not yet.

Before I knew it, I was back on the field—with my name on the roster, a jersey on my back, and cleats laced up. In that moment, I looked my 8-year-old self in the eye and said, “We did it.”

My college soccer experience wasn’t all smooth sailing. It came with highs like meeting lifelong friends, celebrating huge wins, and rediscovering my love for the game—and lows like battling for playing time and facing the heartbreak of an ACL tear. But three years later, those experiences have led me here—with a deep purpose to be a resource for other athletes navigating their own setbacks, identity shifts, and transitions.

That journey—full of detours, comebacks, and growth—taught me that there’s so much more to being an athlete than just performing. It’s about identity, resilience, and the strength it takes to keep going when the path isn’t clear. That’s why I created this platform: to give athletes a space where their full stories can be seen, heard, and valued. Whether you're still in the game, stepping away, or figuring out what’s next, you don’t have to go through it alone."
